Composer: William Shrubsole
From HymnsWithoutWords
William Shrubsole (1760 - 1806) was an Organist and is apparently known for just one tune, Miles Lane composed when he was nineteen. He was a chorister of Canterbury Cathedral and later organist of Bangor Cathedral (1782 - 1784), but lost this post owing to his sympathies with Methodists and Dissenters. He then became organist Lady Huntingdon's Chapel, Clerkenwell, 1784–1806.
