William Henry Draper (1855 - 1933) was an Englist hymnist and Church of England clergyman, born in Ken­il­worth, War­wick­shire, Eng­land. He went to Ke­ble Coll­ege, Ox­ford and was or­dained in 1880. He served in a number of parishes including: St. Ma­ry’s, Shrews­bu­ry, Al­fre­ton, The Ab­bey Church, Shrews­bu­ry, Adel, York­shire, The Tem­ple, Lon­don and Ax­bridge, Som­er­set. He wrote some 60 hymns for the Guard­i­an, Church Month­ly, and other mag­a­zines and published:

  • The Victoria Book of Hymns, 1897
  • Hymns for Ho­ly Week (Lon­don: H. Frowde, 1898)
  • A Memorial Service for Them That Are Fall­en Asleep in Christ (Lon­don: H. Frowde, 1898)
  • The Way of the Cross (Ox­ford, Eng­land: A. R. Mow­bray & Co.)

He died in Clif­ton, Bris­tol, Eng­land.
