Thomas Obediah Chisholm (1866 - 1960) was an American poet and Methodist Minister, born in Franklin, Kentucky he had a mixed career and school master, newspaper editor and finally an insurance salesman in Vineland, New Jersey. He is known to have written over 1200 poems, of which 800 were published, and many set to music.
