Rev. John Chandler (1806 - 1876) was was a Church of England clergyman and translator of Latin Hymns. Chandler was born at Witley, Godalming, Surrey, England. Educated at Corpus Christi College, Oxford, he graduated in 1827 and took Holy Orders in 1831, becoming Vicar of Witley in 1837. He died at Putney, on the south bank of the Thames in London in 1876.
