Biography

Henry Montague Butler (1833 - 1919) was an English educator, educated at Harrow School and Trinity College, Cambridge, where he was later appointed Master (1886 - 1918). He served as headmaster at Harrow (1859 - 1885), was Dean of Gloucester in 1885 and Vice Chancellor of Cambridge University (1889 - 1890).
