Biography
Sir George Clement Martin MVO Mus.Doc (1844 - 1916) was and English composer and organist of St Paul's Cathedral, London from 1888 until his death in 1916. Born in Lambourne, Berskshire, England. He trained with John Stainer in Oxford - cycling over twenty miles to the city from home. He wrote a Te Deum for Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
