Biography
Folliot Sandford Pierpoint (1835 - 1917) Born at Spa Villa the the famous Regency Spa town of Bath, England and died 1917 in Newport, Monmouthshire, Wales. He graduated from Queen's College, Cambridge University in 1857. He spent many years at Somerset College as a classics master.
He published three collections of poems, including The Chalice of Nature and Other Poems, which was undated, but was reissued in 1989 as Songs of Love, the Chalice of Nature and Lyra Jesu.
