Edward Perronet (1726 - 1792) was an English poet and Methodist activist, born in Sundridge, Kent, England. During his life, he published three volumes of Christian poems, including a poetic rendering of the Scriptures. He was a capable preacher and worked with Charles and John Wesley. He is buried in Canterbury Cathedral.
